About the Artist

The award winning architect MJ Long enjoys an international reputation. The National Maritime Museum Cornwall, her landmark building in Falmouth, is a masterpiece of modern architecture. She worked for many years with her husband, Sir Colin St John Wilson on the British Library, London. She teaches part-time at Yale University. In 1994 she founded Long and Kentish Limited with Rolfe Kentish, and designed the highly acclaimed buildings at Brighton University and the Gulbenkian award winning extension at Pallant House Gallery, Chichester.
