About the Artist

Born Edna Waugh in Shipbourne, Kent, she was a draughtsman, watercolourist, etcher, lithographer, illustrator and poet. She studied at Slade School of Art in London and married Sir William Clarke Hall in 1899. Her first solo-exhibition was at the Redfern Gallery in 1924. She made a number of illustrations for ?Wuthering Heights? but the series was never completed or published.
