A contemporary variant of a wood frame derived from a traditional 'Salvator Rosa' profile with additional slip-comprising frieze and sight moulding, painted an off-white and made by Sully's Framing, Penryn.

John Dyer original experimented with a number of frames, but finally settle for this style which he produces in a number of standard sizes. He deliberately has the frame painted an off white (Dulux almond white matt 0603 Y47R) so that the white of his trademark seagulls and other whites in the painting appear brighter.
