About the Artist
Burnett?s work is inspired by family history and personal memorabilia. In 1985 she completed a BA degree in Design, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Tapestry and Printmaking both at Edinburgh College of Art. In 1992 Burnett completed a PGCE in Art and Design at the Institute of Education, University of London.
Burnett works directly with museums and their archives, resulting in work that explores impermanence and memory; rooted in the fabric of the home, yet presented in an historical context.
