Arnold, Eve (1912-2012)
With a career dating back to 1940s, Eve Arnold was a pioneer of photo journalism. In 1951 she became, along with Ingre Morath, the first women photographers to be employed by the important Magnum agency.
She was commissioned to photograph Marlene Dietrich, Clark Gable, Paul Newman, Joan Crawford and Elizabeth Taylor. She was also the favorite photographer of Marilyn Monroe.
