The World of Woodroffe
07 Feb 2015 - 18 Apr 2015
Fantastical creatures and mythical landscapes await you in the magical world of artist and writer Patrick Woodroffe (1940-2014).
A familiar figure around Falmouth, Patrick was internationally known for his unrivalled genius as a draughtsman. His work belongs to a tradition begun by Hieronymous Bosch(1450-1516) and continued in the 20th century by the surrealists.
He was a disciplined worker, his brushes and pens were laid out neatly like implements at a surgeons table.
This show will showcase a selection of his paintings, drawings and tomographs.
A selection of mounted giclee prints will be available for sale in the gallery shop.
