John Miller (1931-2002) was one of Cornwalls most successful and best loved artists. When rock star Chris Rea required an image for King of the Beach it was a painting by John Miller that appeared on the CD cover. It was an obvious choice for Millers outstanding paintings of evocative blue skies and soft sands have ensured that he will always be associated with the beach. Aside from his exhibitions John Miller has acquired a large following through the posters and cards of his paintings, which are distributed worldwide and have been seen in the most unlikely places from the walls of TVs Eastenders to the set of John Boormans film The Tailor of Panama. This exciting show borrows exclusively from the artists estate, and concentrates on highly personal works from his last years.
