THIS unique exhibition charts the beginning of Falmouth Art Gallery’s ground-breaking Frameworks project. The aim of the three year project is to catalogue and conserve all major frames in the collection, providing equal care and scholarly emphasis in the marriage between picture and historic ornamental frame.

Featured will be newly conserved works by artists such as John Opie, Sir Edward Burne-Jones, Charles Napier Hemy, Sir Alfred Munnings, Dame Laura Knight, Henry Scott Tuke and Ben Nicholson.The exhibition is mounted in association with the world’s leading experts on European frames - Paul Mitchell and Lynn Roberts and supported by The Canterbury Auction Galleries.
