Hew Locke is a Guyanese-British sculptor and contemporary artist. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and grew up in Guyana. He has lived most of his adult life in London.

He graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Falmouth University in 1988 and received his MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art in London in 1994.
