Included are local gifts and bequests, as well as grant funded works that have been saved for the nation by the generosity of organisations such as the Heritage Lottery Fund, The Art Fund and the MLA/V&A Purchase Grant Fund.

Featured will be works by Francis Bacon, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edvard Munch,  Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, as well as favourites from the Children’s Illustration Archive, including Dan Dare, Pugwash and Bagpuss.
