A twenty-first-century British variant of a pattern derived from the traditional 'Salvator Rosa' profile, with convex top moulding and scotia; inserted slip or mount with small sight moulding; finished in off-white paint; made by Sully's Framing, Penryn.


More information

This was painted at 5 am as the animals awoke for their morning feeding. The man holding the torch is Newquay Zoo's Education Officer, Mark Norris, who regularly brings large creepy crawlies into the gallery for the children to draw and learn about.
